Less than a month after WrestleMania 23s hard-hitting, back-breaking, billionaire-shaving showdown in Chicago, RAW and SmackDowns elite converged on Phillips Arena in Atlanta with revenge on their minds. Now on DVD, Backlash 2007 features five championship matches and is brought to WWE fans courtesy of Silver Vision from the 6th of August 2007.

Johnny Nitro and Carlito kick off Backlash 2007 with an electrifying fight that pumps up the sell-out crowd. Will Carlito ice over Nitro with his infamous Cool-Breaker or will Johnny Nitro turn up the heat and burn the Caribbean Cool? How can Jeff Hardy possibly return to action only three weeks after his 20ft. leg drop on Edge resulted in both men being carried from the arena on stretchers? Can the Hardy Brothers overcome Jeffs injury and defend their World Tag Team Title or will this championship match turn from sweet to sour at the hands of Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch?

In an exhilarating re-match from WrestleMania 23, Chris Benoit gives his all in an effort to retain the WWE United States Title from MVP. Will the Canadian Crippler take down MVP for the second time in one month, or will Montel prove that hes more valuable than Benoit and spit that bitter taste of defeat back in the Cripplers face? After shaving Vince McMahons head and stripping his dignity at the beginning of the month, Bobby Lashley finds himself in the ring with McMahon once again, only this time, Shane McMahon and Umaga have Vinces back. Can Lashley buzz all three of them, or will Vince regain a piece of pride by knocking it out of Bobby? Its three against one as Lashley faces the potential backlash that may have been caused by turning Vinces head into a mirror.

Undertaker squares off against Batista in a battle for the World Heavyweight Title. Undertaker is keen to bury Batista and retain his hard-earned belt, but will Batista impale the Undertaker with one of his signature spears? This is certainly a match you do not want to miss.Wrapping up Backlash 2007 is a Fatal Four-Way match between John Cena, Edge, Randy Orton, and Shawn Michaels. There is no doubt that these bitter rivals are out for blood. The R-Rated Superstar will have his mind set on educating the other competitors with his patented Edge-O-Meter, but will Cenas five knuckle shuffle send him to detention? Will Orton be able to kick it into overdrive and be the last man standing or will a heavy dose of HBKs sweet chin music send him to bed early? This jaw-dropping, bone-breaking battle was reminiscent of an old-fashioned shoot-out. Who showed up with the bazooka?

One of the shock Pay Per Views of the year, with a massive six title matches on this Pay Per View. On paper this DVD does not look the most enjoyable, seeing the Hardys up against probably one of the worst tag teams in WWE history would make even the least discerning WWE viewer cringe when the very forgettable Cade and Murdocks music hit the arena. How ever to my surprise and much of the crowd the match was very enjoyable indeed, with some innovative spots from Matt and Jeff.

The Undertaker went up against the mighty Batista and was in the words of Jim Ross A slobberknocker. This was no technical masterclass, this was a brawl from start to finish. If you are a fan of the technical wrestling then the late Chris Beniots match against MVP was not a let down.

Over-all this was a pretty average Pay Per View offering from the WWE, even with the six title matches on the card, there was nothing really special that made me sit on the edge of my seat.
