In this extensive look at the Macho Man’s illustrious WCW and WWE(F) Carreer we get over 9 hours of footage on this three disc set, enough to keep any Randy Savage fan happy! Personally I knew very little about the Macho Man other than seeing a few old clips and hearing a few old stories that was it, so I was interested to see what he was all about! The downside to this DVD was definatly WWE Diva Maria being let lose with a list to read out! Ouch! Not necessary as Matt Striker is doing a fine job of presenting this set all on his own, not quite sure what Maria was doing there at all to be honest.

I have no idea why, but Macho Man Randy Savage seems to be the least mentioned former WWE Superstar in history when it comes to wwe television. Other than this DVD he is very very rarely mentioned even in a passing comment so the DVD Im sure will come as a welcome surprise to Macho Man fans all over the world!

Of course Mr Savage was responisble for one of wrestling’s greatest romances in the form of himself and Miss Elizabeth, that is something most fans have certainly heard about! And it was probably down to her that his match against Honky Tonk man at Saturday Nights main event drew over 33 million viewers to America’s NBC Network, as Honky was threatening to take Miss Elizabeth away and Randy fought for her honour!

Another female that is featured on the disc, well deserved hall Of Famer, Sherri Martell who plays the Peggy Sue character at the macho Man’s bout against the Honky Tonk man in 1988 among other heel and face appearances.

There were also a couple of mark out moments for me when I discovered the matches featuring Shawn Michaels from the early 1990’s.

Although this DVD set is packed to the brim with some fantastic matches and interviews, what it’s lacking in is some form of biography that I know I would be very interested to see. I don’t think Macho Man himself has had anything to do with this DVD, which would explain lack of ‘life story’ type of footage and insight which is a great shame.

Although obviously not origionally in HD, the WWE have done an excellent job in preserving and updating the quality of the 80’s footage which is very good.

Most positivly a DVD set for the Macho fans. Not sure that newer fans will want this in their collection, but I started watching wrestling in 2000 and I still really enjoyed watching this one. I can now fully appreciate the legend that is Macho Man Randy Savage… OOOHH YEEAAAHHH!!!
