Latest on Averno Making His WWE Debut, New WWE Retro Hats, Rob Conway, Trish Stratus Talks About Tough Enough On The WWE Network, Her New Movie

Former WWE Superstar Rob Conway turns 39 years old today.

– WWE’s shop website has released new retro hats on ECW, the Royal Rumble, RAW, DX, WCW, King of the Ring and more.

– More of the same regarding luchador Averno finally coming to WWE. Averno recently lost his one singles title with the CMLL promotion in Mexico, which immediately started the talk up of him leaving for the WWE roster.

Averno’s WWE debut faces another roadblock this time as Sin Cara is injured and out of action until some time in 2012. The upside for Averno is that WWE may bring him up now to feud with Hunico, Epico and Primo since Cara is out.

During an interview for Canada’s SLAM! Sports site, former WWE Diva Trish Stratus talked about the prospect of hosting a second season of Tough Enough on the new WWE Network. Trish said:

“Being a coach on Tough Enough was a perfect role for me to come back in. It fit perfectly with my schedule, too — we were out filming in California for about two months. It was perfect and to parlay some of the knowledge and experience that I’d gained over the years and help these young kids who are pursuing their dreams, it was really cool.”

She also spoke about her new movie “Bounty Hunters” which she filmed this year. Trish did her own stunts for the movie (which she loved) – and talked about a difference between acting and wrestling.

“It was amazing. I really enjoyed it. I was able to do my own fight scenes and learn a new fighting art, which really appealed to me to accept the role.”

“At first, I would think, ‘Hey, what’s going on? I did good, and nobody’s cheering.’ But then you get the wonderful moment of sitting in a theatre and seeing yourself on the big screen, and everyone starts cheering, that’s really cool. And to see myself fighting with sound effects — I’ve seen myself fight for ten years — but with the addition of sound effects, wow that takes it to a whole new level.”
