Money In The Bank 17th July 2011

The second Money In The Bank pay per view was first broadcast live on July 17th 2011 from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, and was the event that had everyone talking about the future of the WWE Championship and one of it’s key players!

In my opinion one of the best pay per views on the 2011 calendar, this Money In The bank DVD only fails miserably on a couple of counts: 1) A Bella got in the ring.. and faced a Kelly. And 2) The Special Features suck – but that’s nothing new!

If you forward through the Bella match then the rest of it isn’t bad at all… well, I admit I did also forward Mark Henry V Big Show – I think Big Show is great but I seriously do not know why Henry still gets a pay cheque!
Randy Orton Vs Christian is another fantastic match in their series of clashes! Seeing it again made me realise how badly Smackdown needs Christian back and needs him back in the title race!
But the obvious clincher of the whole show was Cena against CM Punk. Heavily speculated on the Internet to be Punk’s last match with the WWE since his contract was expiring, no one really knew what to expect and the rumors were FLYING; adding to the hype! The match was great and the ending spectacular (as were the following couple of weeks with Punk showing up at various events with the title belt!)
If you saw this on pay per view then I still think you should buy the DVD. If you’re going to buy ONE DVD from last year’s line up of pay per views this one is the one you should have in your collection for sure!!
