Regarding WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan not appearing at the WrestleMania 29 press conference yesterday, a WWE source noted that the two had already been tapped for different WWE media duties this week. The Bella Twins, Sheamus and Mark Henry were brought to the presser to spotlight some of WWE’s different programs like Be A Star and the WrestleMania Reading Challenge.

The WWE source also noted that the RAW brand just returned from the Abu Dhabi tour overseas so all the talents appearing yesterday in New Jersey, except for John Cena, were specifically picked as they hadn’t been on the road for the long trip home from Abu Dhabi.

– The Rock announced on Twitter today that Journey 2 is the #1 ranked movie worldwide. He wrote:

“TEAM BRING IT WORLDWIDE: Journey 2 – the #1 ranked movie in the world. THANK U! #PoppethThyPecs #TeamPecPop”

– Chris Jericho confirmed on Twitter that he will be hosting the Revolver Magazine Golden Gods Awards in Los Angeles this April. Jericho has hosted the event for the past three years. Jericho also mentioned that while in Los Angeles his week, he did rehearsals for a new project.

As noted before, WWE Champion CM Punk is up for the Most Metal Athlete at this year’s awards.

– New Jersey Governor Chris Christie stated yesterday that WrestleMania 29 would bring over $62 million in revenue to his State.

– Kofi Kingston will be appearing at the FCW event in Eustis, Florida tonight.

– With the Elimination Chamber on Sunday, there are no WWE Supershows this weekend.

– As noted before, The Rock has signed on for the next two Fast & Furious movies. Rock noted in media interviews this week that Fast 6 will be filmed this May in England and Germany while Fast 7 will be filmed later. The original plan had been to shoot Fast 6 & 7 back-to-back.
