Douglas Shoots on Shawn Michaels, Punk & Mysterio in Philly, LOTR Update, CM Punk Reveals Twitter Meeting, Phoenix & Natalya Still Teaming, Snuka

– WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka was backstage visiting at last week’s RAW Supershow.

– WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix was back teaming with Natalya on this weekend’s SmackDown live events. Beth teamed up with Eve Torres to defeat Natalya and Tamina on Thursday’s episode of WWE Superstars. The match saw the Divas of Doom reluctantly face off.

– WWE Champion CM Punk wrote today that he was having a meeting about Twitter use. He wrote:

“Having a #meeting about #tweeting and proper use #of #hashtags. Oh how the #business has changed.

Chris Jericho wrote that he was also in the meeting a few minutes later and posted a photo of some kind but quickly deleted it.

Punk tweeted minutes later, “#shootme.”

The Ultimate Warrior has been added to the Legends of the Ring convention on June 2nd in Monroe, New Jersey. Some of the names announced for LOTR 14 include Warrior, Bobby Lashley, Maryse, Matt Hardy, Papa Shango, The Boogeyman, Lance Storm, Don Muraco, Sean Waltman, The Headbangers, Mil Mascaras, Vince Russo, Big Daddy V, Jimmy Snuka, Brooke Tessmacher, Rosita, Tiffany, Ahmed Johnson, Snitsky and several others. – WWE is sending CM Punk and Rey Mysterio to the Wizard World Philadelphia convention this June at the PA Convention Center. Punk will be appearing on June 2nd from 2-6pm and Mysterio will be appearing on June 3rd from 12:30-4:30pm.

Other wrestling stars appearing that weekend include Ted DiBiase Sr., Paul Bearer, John Morrison, Gail Kim and Melina.

The theme for next month’s WWE Classics On Demand is the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame.

– WWE put tickets for the 2012 SummerSlam pay-per-view on sale early this year to take advantage of the media blitz and attention surrounding WrestleMania week.
