FCW Star Knocks The Rocks Sharpshooter, Edge Comments on Undertaker, Rumor on Lesnar & WrestleMania 29, Updated List of Stars at Nash Party, More

2012 WWE Hall of Famer Edge spoke with WWE.com this week to plug his new movie which hits stores tomorrow. Edge was asked about his favorite opponent:

“It’s tough, but I’ve got to say Undertaker. With Undertaker and I, we only had one singles match leading up to WrestleMania XXIV, and we realized we had something. We knew going into WrestleMania it was going to be cool. And it was.”

– FCW star Dean Ambrose wrote the following on Twitter today, taking a shot at how The Rock applies a Sharpshooter:

“#WWE Fun Facts @NatbyNature uses a perfectly applied sharpshooter, @TheRock uses a kind of ugly ankle twisty thing he calls a sharpshooter”

WWE Studios’ Bending the Rules with Edge and Jamie Kennedy hits stores on DVD today.

– The updated list of names for Sean Waltman and Kevin Nash’s WrestleMania party this Friday night at Oceans Ten in Miami includes Diamond Dallas Page, Sunny, Rikishi, The Headbangers, David Hart Smith, Rob Terry and Robbie E.

– As we have noted, former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson and her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez will be attending WrestleMania 28 in Miami, with Torrie live blogging on her social media accounts. Torrie and A-Rod will indeed be sitting ringside.

– F4Wonline.com reports that Brock Lesnar is at least interested in a match against The Undertaker or Steve Austin for WrestleMania 29.

WWE sources have confirmed that Christian was pulled from the WrestleMania 28 Team Laurinaitis vs. Team Long match because of issues with his ankle. The decision to pull Christian was made early on Monday.

Regarding Alberto Del Rio being pulled, WWE officials looked at the 12-man match and felt that Del Rio didn’t fit in it. They are planning on pushing Del Rio soon and didn’t want him in a match that will be full of comedy and other shenanigans. With that said, it’s interesting to note that they kept guys like Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger and The Miz in the match.

It’s said that WWE has something grander planned for Del Rio this year. Instead of returning in the 12-man match, officials want Del Rio to have a more dramatic return to the company. Even though he recently participated in the angle with John Laurinaitis, the original plan was to do Del Rio vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania and sources report that the Orton vs. Del Rio feud is still planned. The decision to pull Del Rio was made in the last week some time.

Despite being pulled from the match, expect Del Rio and Christian to appear in a backstage WrestleMania segment or Del Rio could even work the dark match.
