Jericho’s Band Signs Record Deal, TE Contestant In Court, Randy Orton Update & More

WWE Superstar Chris Jericho announced today that his band Fozzy has signed a record deal with Century Media. Fozzy will release their Century Media debut this summer.

– WWE Tough Enough contestant Rima Fakih was in court today for DUI charges. The judge hoped a plea deal was in place but there wasn’t and a bench trial has been set for March 14th. According to TMZ, if a deal isn’t reached by then, the former Miss USA is looking at 93 days in jail plus fines.

– Randy Orton is now officially advertised by WWE for Sunday’s Supershow in Las Cruces, New Mexico, next week’s RAW Supershow from Phoenix and the SmackDown tapings from Tucson.

– The January 14th episode of WWE’s AM RAW scored a 0.38 cable rating with 454,000 viewers.

– WWE announced today that World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan has won the peta2 Libby Award for Most Animal-Friendly Athlete. Bryan won based on number of votes received, the nominees’ enthusiasm for being animal-friendly and feedback from fans. Bryan beat out NFL star Willis McGahee, MLB star Chase Utley and MMA fighter Jake Shields.

– Former Lingerie Football League player Danielle Moinet has been working as a ring announcer on FCW TV. She signed a WWE developmental deal back in November.

– Whether this is true or not, there was speculation among some of the WWE talents this week that Evan Bourne was trying to get himself fired after failing another Wellness test just weeks after he returned from the first suspension.

– The January 16th episode of WWE’s RAW Supershow scored a 3.0 cable rating with 4,279,000 viewers, up from last week. The first hour did a 3.0 rating while the second hour did a 3.03. The rating went up as hour two went on but viewership dropped by 62,000.
