Rollins Challenges Rhodes For Intercontinental Title, Jericho’s Jacket Malfunctions, Former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Retiring. More

– Chris Jericho stated on Twitter that his light-up jacket malfunctioned at Sunday’s Raw live event in Buffalo, New York.

He wrote, “Great show and crowd in Buffalo tonight! No casualties either…except for my jacket. Time to call in the electronic pit crew at #raw….”

— Former WWE manager Paul Bearer has been announced to appear at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, which takes place June 1-3 at Pennsylvania Convention Center 1101 Arch St. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is being advertised under his real name, Bill Moody.

— Seth Rollins, a WWE developmental wrestler, challenged Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental Championship at Sunday’s SmackDown live event in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was a back and forth match which concluded with Rhodes hitting Cross Rhodes on Rollins for the pinfall victory.

Rollins is touring with the SmackDown roster this week. He beat Drew McIntyre the previous night in East Lansing, Michigan.

WWE has announced that they will be offering pay-per-view streaming on the iPhone and iPad beginning withWrestleMania XXVIII.

— WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas has been announced to appear at WrestleReunion on April 1 at the Miami Beach Deauville Resort 6701 Collins Ave. Miami, Florida.

— The Bella Twins and Alicia Fox will appear on the syndicated entertainment news program Extra on Monday. The WWE Divas were filmed last Thursday at The Grove in Los Angeles chatting with Maria Menounos.

– Jerry Lynn announced at Friday’s Pro Wrestling Syndicate Supercard 2012 event in Rahway, New Jersey that he would be retiring from wrestling competition at the end of 2012. Lynn attributes his decision to age as it’s harder to get his body to do what he wants it to do as well as so he can enjoy the quality of life.

Lynn, who began his wrestling career in 1988, has worked for Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Federation, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and Ring of Honor. He is a two-time world champion, having won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship once and the ROH World Championship once.

– WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young turns 89 years old today.

– Mil Mascaras and the late Yokozuna are the two names still expected to be featured on RAW and announced for the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame. While WWE confirmed Mascaras months ago, speculation is that his video package will air on tonight’s RAW Supershow from Cleveland and tie-in with Alberto Del Rio’s return. Del Rio is set to return to RAW as a member of Team Laurinaitis at WrestleMania.
