– WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels spoke with Brian Fritz of BetweenTheRopes.com this week in Miami:

– Next week’s episode of Zack Ryder’s YouTube show will be made up of footage that he filmed at WrestleMania 28 Axxess this week in Miami.

– Dolph Ziggler vs. WWE United States Champion Santino Marella plus Mason Ryan vs. Jinder Mahal is scheduled for this evening’s WrestleMania 28 Axxess sessions.
– Ric Flair, who was originally inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a singles wrestler in 2008, will enter the Hall a record second time tonight in Miami, Florida alongside fellow Four Horsemen Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham and JJ Dillon. Wrestling Globe reports that celebrity friends of “The Nature Boy” will be attending tonight’s induction ceremony, notably former NFL linebacker Kevin Greene. Greene competed for World Championship Wrestling multiple times in the late ’90s.

— SmackDown Superstar Trent Barreta turned 25 years old on Friday. Also celebrating birthdays Friday were former WWE Superstars Mike Rotundo (54), “Rugged” Ronnie Garvin (67) and Zach Gowen (29).

— It was reported Friday that Brock Lesnar was in negotiations with WWE officials to make a surprise appearance at Sunday’s WrestleMania XXVIII pay-per-view event at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida. Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer stated on the F4WOnline.com message board that both sides have been in talks for a month and that WWE at least initially wanted his return match to take place at SummerSlam on August 19. Furthermore, Meltzer said Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is aware of Lesnar’s negotiations with the organization, thus explaining his response to an Associated Press writer’s question last week regarding a possible confrontation.

“I’m not saying a thing,” said a grinning Johnson with his eyebrow raised after being asked about a possible encounter with Lesnar. “I didn’t say anything.”

With the National Guard behind her, Lilian Garcia will kick off tomorrow night’s WrestleMania XXVIII pay-per-view event at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida by performing “America the Beautiful.” With her performance at the show, Garcia will surpass Aretha Franklin for the most musical performances at WrestleMania.

While promoting her milestone performance, musical endeavors and work to raise awareness of black mold allergy during an interview with Puerto Rican newspaper Vocero, the WWE Diva was asked how old she is. Garcia, however, declined to reveal her age as she says there are people in the WWE work environment who “assess everything by a number.”

“I’m very proud of who I am and what I have achieved. Age is just a number. I have worked with WWE for eleven years and have earned the respect of everyone around me, but there are some things that cannot be said,” said the SmackDown ring announcer.

The Wrestling Observer revealed shortly after Garcia’s return to WWE that she is actually 45-years-old, which makes her the oldest active female performer in the organization. Her commonly listed birth date of August 19, 1973 is inaccurate as she was actually born on August 19, 1966. There is a newspaper article from 1983 online on her older sister Dalia Garcia being crowned Miss South Carolina that year and it states that 16-year-old Lilian aspired to follow her path—she placed as a finalist in the Miss South Carolina Pageant in 1985. Garcia was an aspiring lead singer in the New York City area before auditioning for a television role with the sports entertainment organization in 1999 at the suggestion of her agent.
