Survivor Series 20th November, 2011
Originally broadcast live on November 20th 2011, this was the 25th anniversary of the Survivor Series Pay Per View and apparently sold out within 90 minutes of the tickets going on sale!
Of course the advertised Cena/Rock tag team will have helped that cause!
Notable for the fact that CM Punk brought out legendary announcer, Howard Finkle to counter-act Alberto Del Rio’s ‘personal ring announcer’ (Ricardo Rodriguez) and of course the Cena/Rock tag team; but there were some good solid matches on the under card such as Ziggler vs. Morrison & the Survivor Series team match (Team Orton Vs Team Barrett).
The Lumberjill match was a bit of a farce and Henry Vs. Big Show easily skipped through. But Punk Vs. Del Rio had some great near-falls and excited the audience from start to finish.
Only one ‘extra’ or Bonus Feature as they are now called, and that is a small interview with CM Punk after his match with Del Rio. No other extras on the disc even though there was a dark match (Santino Marella Vs. Jinda Mahal) that could have fitted in perfectly as a Bonus Feature!
