TNA Victory Road PPV Results 3/18/12

– The 2012 TNA Victory Road pay-per-view opens up with a video package for tonight’s No Holds Barred match between Sting and Bobby Roode.

– We go to the Impact Zone where Taz and Mike Tenay are on commentary.

– We go to the ring and out comes Bully Ray.

Ray comes out to heat from the crowd. Ray says he is trending worldwide because he’s holding this pay-per-view hostage. He says the fans get nothing tonight unless he gets what he wants – his match with James Storm to be a #1 contender’s match. James Storm’s music hits and out he comes.

#1 Contender’s Match: James Storm vs. Bully Ray

Storm comes out and they go right at it. The winner will face Bobby Roode for the World Title at Lockdown. Ray drinks some of Storm’s beer but turns around to a Last Call superkick. Storm covers for the win.

Winner: James Storm

TNA X Division Title Match: Zema Ion vs. Austin Aries

We go to the ring and out first comes the challenger Zema Ion. The TNA X Division Champion Austin Aries is out next. The match starts with Zema slapping Aries. Zema goes to the floor to stall. They finally go at it. Lots of back and forth to start the match. Aries ends up out on the floor. Zema hits a moonsault from the top out on the floor. Zema rolls Aries back into the ring and covers him for 2. Zema mocks Aries and goes for his big elbow drop but Aries rolls out of the way.

Aries gets up and beats Zema down in the corner. More back and forth. Aries drops Zema and hits the big elbow drop for the 2 count. Zema comes back and takes Aries to the top. Aries ends up powerbombing Zema to the mat and going on to get the win with the Brainbuster.

Winner: Austin Aries

– We get a coming soon video for The Motor City Machineguns.

– A video airs for tonight’s TNA Tag Team Title match.

TNA Tag Team Title Match: Matt Morgan and Crimson vs. Magnus and Samoa Joe

Morgan starts things out with Magnus. They go to lock up but Crimson tags himself in. Morgan isn’t happy but leaves the ring. Magnus goes to work on Crimson but Crimson puts him in a headlock. Crimson with offense now until they go to the corner. More back and forth until Magnus hits a big clothesline. Magnus takes Crimson to the corner and tags in Joe. Joe unloads on Crimson in the corner until the referee backs him off.

Joe hits a big knee drop and takes Crimson back to the corner, tagging in Magnus. Crimson goes to the floor and comes back in with a shot to Magnus. Crimson takes control as the fans chant for Morgan to be tagged in. Magnus fights back but Crimson hits him with a big spinebuster. Crimson covers for a 2 count as Morgan begs for the tag. Crimson with a submission now. Magnus finally clothslines Crimson and takes him down. Magnus tags in Joe as Crimson argues with Morgan. Joe unloads on Crimson and moves as he comes off the top. Joe with a snap slam and a 2 count. Joe throws Crimson to the corner and Morgan tags himself in. Morgan hits Magnus and Joe. Joe goes down with a big knee. Morgan hits Magnus in the corner but the champs regain control with double teaming. Joe with the back splash and a 2 count as Crimson starts to walk away from the match.

Morgan has words with Crimson from the ring. Morgan turns around and fights the champions by himself. Crimson runs in the ring and lays Morgan out with a spear. Crimson says he’s the undefeated winner and Morgan is just a loser. Joe and Magnus hit a double team move for the win.

Winners: Magnus and Samoa Joe

– We go backstage with Jeremy Borash. He apologizes for the earlier incident ith Eric Bischoff and takes a shot at him. Bobby Roode comes in to talk about his match with Sting and they take a fan question from Twitter. Roode goes on about James Storm and talks about him and Lockdown until Storm appears. Storm says he’s not looking for a match at Lockdown – he’s looking for a fight. Right now, right here.

– We go to the ring and out comes the TNA Television Champion Robbie E. for an Open Challenge. He’s got Rob Terry with him.

Apparently there’s no wrestlers in the back to answer the challenge so a fan is going to be picked.

TNA TV Title Match: Devon vs. Robbie E.

Devon ens up answering the challenge. Devon comes out in jeans and unloads on Robbie. He tosses the champ to the floor after a big clothesline. Devon comes out to the floor and works Robbie over. Devon stares down with Robbie. Robbie grabs a chair but Brooke Hogan, who is at ringside, grabs it and stops him. Robbie brings the action back in the ring and covers Devon for 2.

Devon comes back and hits the neckbreaker and a splash in the corner. Clothesline by Devon. Terry gets on the apron but Devon sends him to the floor. Devon hits his finisher on Robbie for the win and the title.

Winner and New TNA Television Champion: Brother Devon

– We go backstage with JB and Dixie Carter. Dixie announces that this year’s Slammiversary pay-per-view will be in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. JB asks about tonight’s main event and Dixie says she trusts Sting. She will be ringside to support him. She talks about Roode disrespecting her and TNA, the fans and everyone else. She hopes it ends tonight.

– We get a promo video for tonight’s TNA Knockouts Title Match.

TNA Knockouts Title Match: Madison Rayne vs. Gail Kim

We go to the ring and out first comes Madison Rayne followed by the TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim. They lock up and start pulling hair. Earl Hebner pulls them apart and they have words. They catfight some more and go to the corner. Gail comes out of the corner and keeps control. Gail with a big clothesline and a 2 count. Madison charges in the corner but Gail moves. Madison ends up pushing Gail from the apron into the barrier at ringside. Madison brings it back in the ring for a pin attempt.

Gail with a roll up for a 2 count. Madison takes it back to the corner and chokes Gail with her boot. Madison charges again but Gail kicks her. Madison comes back with a dropkick and a bridge suplex for a 2 count. Gail fights to her feet but Madison slams her back to the mat. Gail slams Madison on her face and takes out her knee. More back and forth. Gail with a crossbody from the second rope for a 2 count. Gail with a spear in the corner and a missile dropkick from the top. Gail covers for another 2 count.

Gail goes for Eat Defeat but Madison rolls her up. More back and forth. Madison hits a neckbreaker for another 2 count. Madison blocks the finisher again and slams Gail on her face. Madison with more offense and another 2 count. Gail comes back and out of nowhere hits Eat Defeat for the win.

Winner: Gail Kim

– JB is backstage with Daniels and his partner Kazarian. Daniels says Mr. Anderson and AJ Styles will pay for the mistakes they have made before walking off.

– We get a promo video for the next match.

Mr. Anderson and AJ Styles vs. Kazarian and Daniels

We go to the ring and out first comes AJ Styles. His partner Mr. Anderson is out next. Anderson does his usual entrance before coming to the ring. Anderson starts things out with Kazarian and they go at it. The feed cuts out and when it comes back in, Anderson and Styles are double teaming Kazarian. AJ remains in and keeps control until Kaz dumps hi to the apron. AJ tries to fight back in but Daniels knocks him to the floor. Daniels works AJ over on the floor before rolling him back in. Daniels comes in and keeps up the attack on AJ. Daniels drops him for a quick pin attempt. Daniels with a dropkick and another 2 count.

More offense from Daniels before an abdominal stretch. Daniels hip tosses Daniels but runs into a big kick from the corner. Daniels keeps control of AJ and kicks him in the ribs hard. Daniels with another pin attempt before tagging in Kaz. AJ counters their double team move and clotheslines Daniels. AJ hits a pele on Kaz as Anderson waits for the tag.

Anderson comes in with the offense but gets stopped by more double teaming. Anderson blocks them and goes for Mic Check on Kaz but Daniels stops it with a STO. AJ springboards in and takes out Daniels. AJ hits Kaz in the corner. AJ goes for an inverted DDT on Daniels but gets kicked in mid-air. AJ goes down again on the floor by Daniels. Anderson runs the ropes and AJ tags himself in. AJ comes in but Kaz grabs him. AJ counters Fade to Black and hits the Styles Clash. AJ rolls Kaz over for the pin and the win.

Winners: Mr. Anderson and AJ Styles

– JB is backstage with Kurt Angle. Angle wants his son to watch his hero Jeff Hardy get beat tonight. Angle rips into Hardy’s look and everything.

– We get a promo video for the Hardy vs. Angle match.

Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy

We go to the ring and out first comes Kurt Angle. Jeff Hardy is out next and he greets all the fans at ringside, including Brooke Hogan.

The bell rings and they finally lock up. They go to the corner and Angle pulls his hair before they break. They lock up again and Hardy goes for a headlock. Hardy drops Angle with a shoulder and sends him out to the floor to regroup. More back and forth on the ropes but Hardy drops Angle again, sending him back out to the floor. Angle comes back in and Hardy takes it to the mat. Angle wrestles him on the mat and they trade holds.

Angle ends up back on the floor and Hardy dropkicks him into the barrier. Hardy comes off the apron with a shot to the back of Angle’s head. Hardy slams Angle’s face into the apron and the barrier. Angle rolls back in the ring and stomps and punches on Hardy as he comes back in. Angle keeps Hardy on the mat and rubs his face paint in. Hardy makes a comeback and hits his series of moves for a 2 count.

Hardy takes the fight back to the floor. Angle takes Hardy out after he crashes hard into the barrier. Angle comes back in the ring as the referee begins to count. Hardy is brought back in and Angle gets a 2 count. Angle works over Hardy some more as the crowd chants for Hardy. Angle with a suplex and another 2 count. Angle with another submission. Hardy starts to make a comeback but Angle hits him with a belly-to-belly suplex for another 2 count. Hardy fights back again but Angle stops him. Angle runs into boots in the corner and Hardy clotheslines him.

They get up and trade shots in the middle of the ring. Hardy drops Angle with clotheslines and an elbow. Hardy with a flying forearm. Hardy comes out of the corner with Whisper in the Wind but Angle kicks out at 2. Hardy goes for the Twist of Fate but it’s blocked. Angle hits the trio of German suplexes and waits for Hardy to get up. Angle goes for the Angle Slam but it’s blocked. Hardy hits Twist of Fate. He goes up to the top but Angle runs up and throws him back to the mat. Angle with a close 2 count. More back and forth. Angle ends up on the floor. Hardy slams Angle’s head into the steps several times and brings it back in the ring. Hardy goes back to the top. Angle runs up but Hardy knocks him to the mat. Hardy comes down from the top but Hardy puts his knees up. Angle with the Angle Slam for a 2 count.

Angle is bleeding from the shots to the steps. Angle goes for another Angle Slam but it’s countered with Twist of Fate. Hardy hits a pair of clotheslines and an enziguri. Hardy hits hard on the Swanton but Angle counters the pin. Angle rolls Hardy up and uses the ropes for leverage to get the win.

Winner: Kurt Angle

– We get promos for tonight’s main event.

No Holds Barred Match: Sting vs. Bobby Roode

Tonight’s main event is non-title. Back and forth action until Sting takes control. Sting beats Roode down and gets a “you still got it” chant from the crowd. Roode tries to leave up the ramp but Sting stops him with a clothesline.

Sting brings Roode to ringside and slams him into the steps. Sting continues beating Roode around ringside. Roode turns it around and hits Sting with chops and a right hand. Sting blocks a chair shot and slams Roode into the barrier again. Sting splashes Roode on the barrier and into the crowd he goes. Sting brings him back over to ringside and rolls him in the ring. Roods begs Sting to take it easy. Roode takes out Sting’s knee and slams it into the ring post.

Roode drops elbows on Sting’s knees now and works them over. Roode keeps control and hits more chops. Roode backs Sting in the corner and taunts him. Roode with right hands. Sting blocks and goes for a backslide pin for 2. Roode comes back and goes to work on the knee again. Roode applies the Figure Four in the middle of the ring. Sting’s shoulders drop for a 2 count but Roode keeps the hold locked.

Roode breaks the hold and we get more back and forth. Roode chops him but it doesn’t hurt Sting. Sting makes a comeback and hits a pair of clotheslines and a big back drop. They end up on top and Sting hits a superplex. Roode makes another comeback and takes Sting’s leg out in the ring. Roode brings a steel chair in the ring and sets it up. They trade shots and Sting brings Roode in from the apron.. Sting hits the Death Drop and not seeing the chair, he hits the back of his head on the chair. Roode takes advantage and covers Sting for the win.

Winner: Bobby Roode

– After the match, Roode goes to ringside where Dixie Carter is looking at him. He picks up a steel chair and stares at her before sliding it in the ring. Roode pulls Dixie from the crowd and rolls her into the ring. The crowd chants for Hogan as Dixie tries to check on Sting. Roode yells at Dixie and calls her a bitch. Roode backs Dixie into the corner as she pleads from her knees. He grabs a chair but turns around to right hands and kicks from Sting. Sting knocks Roode out to the floor. Sting checks on Dixie. Roode comes in from behind and decks Sting with the chair. Roode backs Dixie into the corner again and gets in her face. Roode duct tapes Sting to the bottom rope as Dixie tries to undo him. Roode grabs the chair again as Dixie tries to get the tape off Sting’s wrists. Roode continues taunting Dixie and puts his hand over her face. Victory Road goes off the air with Roode yelling and Dixie crying.
