WWE Limiting Ric Flair’s Hall of Fame Induction Speech This Year, Vince McMahon Makes Gossip Pages, Otunga Getting Married, Matt Hardy News

– TNA star Ric Flair spoke with Mike Mooneyham of The Post & Courier about The Four Horsemen going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

Flair confirmed reports that Triple H called him while he was at the Impact tapings to tell him about the induction. Flair said the whole TNA crew was watching the Hall of Fame video from RAW backstage at the tapings.

Flair also said that WWE has limited his speech this year to 7 minutes. When Flair was inducted back in 2008, his speech went over an hour.

Flair is looking forward to linking back up with the WWE crew and said, “We’re going to blow the roof off.”

Matt Hardy will be appearing at Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling’s Halifax County Brawl on January 28th from South Boston, Virginia. Other names announced include Lex Luger, The Barbarian and The Rock & Roll Express.

– Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson appeared on NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno this weekend and confirmed that she and fiancee David Otunga would be getting married later this year. Hudson talked about Otunga working for WWE and their son David Jr. wanting to be a wrestler, noting that he knew the wrestling moves better than “Big David.”

– The Greenwich Times had a blurb on Vince McMahon this past week after the WWE boss was seen riding around in a new Bentley. They wrote:

“WWE Chief Executive and Greenwich resident Vince McMahon was seen behind the wheel of a charcoal-colored Bentley with dealer plates on Railroad Avenue in Greenwich last week.”

WWE Superstar Chris Jericho is apparently working with the producers of Spike TV’s Bar Rescue TV show. Jericho wrote on Twitter this weekend:

“Got a HUGE project in the works w @jontaffer of @barrescue Stoked for some big meetings over the next few days to discuss our SECRET!!”

– As seen on Friday’s SmackDown, WWE Diva AJ Lee went down in an injury angle during the main event of Big Show vs. Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Title. WWE’s website has a storyline update from Dr. Michael Sampson that says AJ has head trauma, a cervical sprain/strain and multiple contusions all over her body.

– WWE has applied to trademark the term “Funkasaurus” for Brodus Clay.
