Doug Williams pinned Jack Storm with the Chaos Theory to advance to the last 16 of the British National Championship Tommy End submitted Dave Moralez with a guillotine The Kartel beat Marty Scurll and Nikko Brixton, who were teaming with no dissension. "Zebra Kid just submitted Jimmy Jacobs with a cobra clutch after the zebra crossing. Very good match indeed." This show just entered DVD purchase territory for me, I think... Ring announcer for the night Dean Ayass started the second half of the show with an Atkins-esque rap... El Generico beat Paul Robinson with a standard brainbuster in a short, solid match. Martin Stone vs Jonny Storm vs Andy Simmonz for the title is up now. In a good continuity point, Dean Ayass hid like a bitch during Stone's entrance. In an un-Orpington-like situation, Andy Simmonz is working full blown heel... Andy Boy Simmonz pinned Jonny Storm after a martinete to retain the title when Martin Stone was on the outside. Good match. Stone pushed Last Man Standing tomorrow night, but didn't mention Orpington... Chris Hero vs Johnny Saint is being contested under World of Sport rules, and Hero is once again a good guy in IPW: -Saint pinned Hero in round 2. Main event was described as 'nice'. Leroy who came out to a huge reaction was welcomed by the audience, was rudely intrupted by Tex Benedict who ran him verbally down and threatened to sue him if he touched him.
Chris Wyld and Danny Williams beat 'Gentleman' Jon Ritchie and Barry Ryan In the main event Jason Sweet Sensation beat Tex Benedict thanks tro the gore from Leroy Kincaid
Biggest crowd here yet for All-Star, not quite a sell-out. They announced 1000, probably not far off that. Referee for each match was Bryce Rimsburg. 1) Chad Collyer beat Jonny Storm with a texas cloverleaf. First time I've seen Jonny Storm at Grimsby, first time I've seen him for All-Star. Deano turned up a nobody but left the ring very popular. Aside from a botched headscissor he looked great. TNT is a very interesting looking fella. I was distracted by his boots which seemed a few sizes too big to the point where he was walking on the sides as opposed to the sole. Not a great match. Hugely disappointed with the Liverpool Lads vs Hero & Taylor tag match. During the babyfaces entrance Hero just kept flipping over and through the ropes to the apron and back in many different ways. He also did a backflip off the top rope landing on his feet. Odd to see a heel doing these things without a hint of intended arrogance. Following the interval they had what history has proved to be the worst possible match type in front of this audience: 2 inexperienced workers, both working babyface. My nephew asked me which was the goodie and which was the baddie and I heard kids around our section asking similar questions. Then came the 15 man Royal Rumble, featuring: No El Generico, Dupree or Mason then. Decent brawl with the expected good crowd heat and a good finish. So two very good matches out of five - the opener and the main event - and a much more star-studded lineup than we are used to in Grimsby. They will return on Friday November 28th. taken from the ukff.com
