Newsflash

The PPV numbers are in for WrestleMania 24, and they are considerably lower than wwe and Floyd Mayweather expected. WrestleMania 24 drew 1,058,000 buys which works out to $23.8 million. This is less than last year’s 1,200,000 buys and $24.4 million for WrestleMania 23. The numbers were released this morning with WWE’s first quarter earnings report, which had the company listed as pulling in $19.5 million in net earnings over the first quarter of 2008.

4-Way CC-2008 Qualifier

Chris Echo vs. Voodoo vs. "Super" Sam Bailey vs. Twizzie Ramonov

The first of the two qualifiers this month sees 4 competitors who've never qualified for the CC8 finals before, battle it out for a place in the last 8. Fellow members of WKD, "Super" Sam Bailey and Chris Echo will be against each other in the same match for the first time ever! The match also sees the return of Russian, Twizzie Ramonov. Ramonov made his debut in the Rumble at Friday Night Thriller II in one of the shortest debuts ever... we'll see how he fares in a 4-way! Voodoo has displayed all the attributes to be successful not only in this match, but in the tournament too. Only one can go through, who will it be?!?

Main Event: GPW Heavyweight Title Match - 3-Way
Darkside © vs. Dirk Feelgood vs. Johnny Phere

For the first time since it's conception, the GPW Heavyweight title will be defended in a 3-way match! After making his impression felt last month, Johnny Phere has been granted his first ever shot at the title, however he'll have to share the ring with the No.1 Contender - Dirk Feelgood. Dirk may well be outnumbered going into this match but out of the 3 men he's the one with the most experience. He has a long sordid history with Phere and has locked horns with Darkside for many months now. He knows what both men can do and has his eyes set on regaining the Heavyweight Title he never lost. After all his threats of turning last year into the "Year Of Phere", the Psychotic Warrior was de-railed early on which only added to the frustrations of the mentalist. The odds are against the reigning champion Darkside in this one, but he has a proven record of bending the rules which ever way he can to escape with the title. Can he do it again!?

GPW Tag Team Trophy Match
Mil-Anfield Connection © vs. El Ligero & Bubblegum

We re-visit a feud that never ended. The GPW Tag Team Champs - Mil-Anfield Connection put it all on the line one more time against the hugely popular duo of El Ligero and Bubblegum. This will be Bubblegum's first match back after the serious injury that kept him out of action last month. Will he be 100%? It will be a big test for the the Crazy Cruiser-8 2006 Champion and you can bet Walker and Hope will be testing to see if he's healed or not. Despite being a member of the roster since 2003, El Ligero has never captured gold in GPW. Will this be his night? Or will the impressive Mil-Anfield Connection make it another month with the championships??

CC-2008 Qualifier
Spud vs. Jack Toxic w/ Cyanide

The second CC-2008 qualifier is a first time one on one encounter. Spud returns to GPW after over a 15 month absence to try his luck once again as a Crazy Cruiser! Last time round he was stopped in the qualifying stages by eventual tournament finalist - Joey Hayes. He takes on Alan Alan Alan Taskers man, one half of Lethal Dose - Jack Toxic. Toxic, who had a very impressive outing in the Rumble last year out-lasting many other competitors, aims on getting past Spud in the qualifying stages and representing Tasker in the CC-2008 finals. There's no way Spud will take this lying down but who will go the furthest?

One on One
Dylan Roberts vs. Juggernaut w/ Alan Alan Alan Tasker

After making a huge impression in last months Main Event can Dylan Roberts continue to make an impact against the dominant and angry Juggernaut. Former British Champion, Juggernaut lost to Chris Echo last month and has vowed revenge. Tasker has got his powerhouses' sights set firmly on the man from Red Dragon country - Dylan Roberts. Never one to turn down a challenge, Roberts has accepted. Last month Dylans lack of experience showed as the mistakes he made were capitalised on and his team lost the match. Has he learnt from his mistakes enough to be able to slay the giant Juggernaut? Or will it be nothing more than a lamb to the slaughter?

GPW British Title, British Rounds Match
"Dangerous" Damon Leigh © vs. Juice

In another first title match - the GPW British Title will be defended in a traditional British Rounds Match!! 4 Time Champion, Damon Leigh has defended the title against all comers in all types of matches before, but never in a British Rounds match. His opponent, one of the break out stars of the GPW camp - Juice, will get his first ever chance to wear singles gold in this never before seen match. Can Juice do it in Damons backyard as British Champ, or can DDL do the British title justice and retain?

Plus.... TJ Cain will make a shocking announcement!!

Doors at the Monaco Ballroom (Atherton Road, Hindley, Wigan WN2 3EU) will open at 7pm and the action will start at 7:30. Tickets are £7 per person or £24 for a family. With first place in the raffle worth over £100, 3 title matches and the return of Spud and the Crazy Cruiser tournament - you cannot miss this!!
