Scott Hall 'Incident' now on youtube

Videos of the 'Scott Hall' incident are now up on youtube. Hall looks to be in bad shape as he stands up to a comedien for making bad taste Owen Hart Jokes at the roast of Iron Sheik. Comedien Jimmy Graham's comment was '"When Iron Sheik got pulled over and arrested on the Jersey Turnpike, his carreer fell harder and faster than Owen Hart." Scott hall obviously found the joke to be in bad taste and went after the comedien. He wasn't arrested but he did have to be escorted from the building.

Marlon “Tiger Khan” Kalkai was a pro wrestler who travelled the world for well over a decade in pursuit of his dream- making it in the world of professional wrestling.

Along the way he made some bad choices and that dream tragically died with him in 2006.

In the documentary Tiger Khan- Fire in the Blood, Finamore-Frassetti  Productions and Tiger’s close friend Evan Ginzburg look at the colorful life and tragic death at age 33 of this respected and beloved athlete.

Frassetti is an experienced documentary director whose upcoming film In The Ring of Honor chronicles the life and times of Bruno Sammartino. Evan Ginzburg served as Associate Producer on Darren Aronofsky’s critically acclaimed The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke. The picture won best film at the 2008 Venice Film Festival and will close the prestigious New York Film Festival.

Two plus years in the making, Tiger Khan- Fire in the Blood features original music by Sounds of Tibet and Ansel Matthews, footage from the poignant 2007 Tiger Khan Memorial Show, rare photographs, interviews with legendary professional wrestlers, animation, in-ring footage of Tiger in action, as well as interview footage of Tiger himself talking about his passion for life and the wrestling business.

Tiger Khan- Fire in the Blood premiers at the Pioneer Theater in New York’s East Village on October 26th at 9PM. Tickets are $10.00 each ($6.50 students/seniors/members).  A Q&A with filmmakers Evan Ginzburg & Franco Frassetti follows the showing.

Gorgeous George

The Outrageous Bad-Boy Wrestler Who Created American Pop Culture

By John Capouya

Price:

$25.95

On Sale:

Formats:     Hardcover | E-Book

This is the first-ever biography of the legendary wrestler Gorgeous George, filled with incredible never-before-told stories. George directly influenced the likes of Muhammad Ali, who took his bragging and boasting from George; James Brown, who began to wear sequined capes onstage after seeing George on TV; John Waters, whose films featured the outrageous drag queen Divine as an homage to George; and too many wrestlers to count. Amid these pop culture discoveries are firsthand accounts of the pro wrestling game from the 1930s to the 1960s.

The ideal American male used to be stoic, quiet, and dignified. But for a young couple struggling to make ends meet, in the desperation born of the lingering Depression and wartime rationing, an idea was hatched that changed the face of American popular culture, an idea so bold, so over-the-top and absurd, that it was perfect. That idea transformed journeyman wrestler George Wagner from a dark-haired, clean-cut good guy to a peroxide-blond braggart who blatantly cheated every chance he got. Crowds were stunned—they had never seen anything like this before—and they came from miles around to witness it for themselves.

Suddenly George—guided by Betty, his pistol of a wife—was a draw. With his golden tresses grown long and styled in a marcel, George went from handsome to . . . well . . . gorgeous overnight, the small, dank wrestling venues giving way to major arenas. As if the hair wasn't enough, his robes—unmanly things of silk, lace, and chiffon in pale pinks, sunny yellows, and rich mauves—were but a prelude to the act: the regal entrance, the tailcoat-clad valet spraying the mat with perfume, the haughty looks and sneers for the "peasants" who paid to watch this outrageously prissy hulk prance around the ring. How they loved to see his glorious mane mussed up by his manly opponents. And how they loved that alluringly alliterative name . . . Gorgeous George . . . the self-proclaimed Toast of the Coast, the Sensation of the Nation!

All this was timed to the arrival of that new invention everyone was talking about—television. In its early days, professional wrestling and its larger-than-life characters dominated prime-time broadcasts—none more so than Gorgeous George, who sold as many sets as Uncle Miltie.

Fans came in droves—to boo him, to stick him with hatpins, to ogle his gowns, and to rejoice in his comeuppance. He was the man they loved to hate, and his provocative, gender-bending act took him to the top of the entertainment world. America would never be the same.

Dear Family and Friends,

We have had an overwhelming response to my brother Bernard's story.  We can't thank you enough for your thoughts, prayers, messages and donations.  Keep the great energy flowing!

The most important thing you can do is share Bernard's story with others.  Please send this e-mail out to everyone you know! It is amazing how quickly news travels.  The more people who know what is going on, the better chance Bernard has at beating this terrible disease.

The Save Bernard Siaki Team is currently researching programs and opportunities that may decrease the financial burden on the Siaki Family.  Although Bernard has 2 different kinds of insurance, he is still responsible for the majority of the medical costs surrounding the transplant.  We want to make sure that Bernard has the best medical care and attention possible.  Everyone, everywhere deserved this same right.

What can you do?  Please donate what you can to Bernard's cause.  For your convenience, Pay Pal is now operating on the website.  We have had almost 16,000 hits to the site to date.  We have raised $4100 to date.  We have a long road ahead of us -- but we are hopeful, enthusiastic and most of all, thankful for what we have.  There is no amount too small -- even in this uncertain economy -- a dollar contributed to save a man's life is priceless.

Attached is a picture of my brother in Dialysis treament.  At only 35 years old, this is what he does for 15 hrs a week for the last 16 months.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Thank you and God Bless,

The Save Bernard Siaki Team

Funk's Corner - Ring Rope Breaks on Johnny Magnum - Credit Safety Training He's Okay

Johnny Magnum survived the top rope breaking during his Funking Conservatory World Championship Match against Elvis Sharp. Magnum indicated to the Referee, Claudia Rieff "The Claw" he was okay and requested to continue the match.

Johnny Magnum's judgment proved good as the match was allowed to continue with Johnny Magnum winning the Funking Conservatory World Championship with his Cargo Drop and Leg Binding Cradle of the victory.

Johnny Magnum credits his safety training at the Funking Conservatory for his avoidance of serious injury. After the match I spoke with Johnny Magnum and he said, "In that instance that I heard the rope snap all I could think of was you telling me always get your arm over the rope and hang on."

Johnny Magnum's match for the Funking Conservatory with Elvis Sharp in now on !BANG! TV on our website at http://www.dory-funk.com. Now on !BANG! TV in "Super Broad Band" full size video and slow motion you can see as Johnny Magnum hits the ropes, the top rope breaks and with his right hand Johnny Magnum hangs on preventing him from falling head first to the floor. Johnny gives The Claw the OK and the match continues with Johnny Magnum winning the match and the Funking Conservatory World Title.

Demanto who recently pinned Maff in a 4-Way match, wants to settle the score once and for all. Grim Reefer wants to prove to Maff that he is no young lion, and show him why he is the current NJ State Champion. Will these two superstars out smart Dan Maff & Rhino, or are they looking at a Burning Hammer and a Gore as their last sight before going unconscious?

Expect the Talented Bandido Jr

-vs-
The Insane Dragon

The Scoop:
These two talented superstars go one on one for the first time in a JAPW ring. Bandido Jr. is looking to forget about what happened in Beachwood, NJ last month, and taking on Insane Dragon to show that he can wrestle injured or not, proving to the untrained that he is not backing down from any fight.

After losing his return match against Grim Reefer last month, Insane Dragon has Bandido Jr. in his sight and is looking for a big win to put him in line for the NJ State Championship. Dragon knows, that one win isn't enough, but by beating Bandido Jr. will add a win to his record and move him up the spots for a chance at the gold.

Tag Team Match
Garden State Gods
-vs-
D-N-A
The Scoop:
After losing to the SAT, the Garden State Gods were mad, but yet enjoyed the beating they received. Corvis Fear and MIke Quest are out to prove that they are here to make others experience pain for their enjoyment, and show they have the skills to win. After seeing D-N-A defeat the SAT, the Gods became furious and demanded a match against them.

D-N-A, of Dixie and Azrieal, see no reason why not to accept the the Gods challenge, as the real superstars, former JAPW champions is team D-N-A. They don't understand what the deal is with the Garden State Gods, but if its pain they want, and pain they enjoy, they are facing the right tag team to deliver it to them. Dixie and Azrieal won't give up a fight.
