TNA UK Tour - Names announced PDF Print E-mail

The first names for TNA’s ground breaking UK have been exclusively by Patrick Lennon in the Daily Star’s Fighting Talk column which goes to over 1 million readers in Britain. The announcement contained a total of eight TNA superstars and the selection of these men as the first to be added to the tour has certainly been very well received by not only TNA die hard followers but by all European wrestling fans.

The first names are for the TNA UK Impact Tour are:

TNA World Champion Kurt Angle
Perhaps the greatest amateur and professional wrestler of all time, Kurt Angle is simply the most decorated grappler in history. He is an Olympic gold medallist, a multi-time World Champion, the first ever TNA Champion (a title he currently wears with pride) and, last year, held no less than five titles simultaneously, becoming TNA’s first ever ‘grand slam’ winner.

Regarded as one of wrestling’s greatest workhorses, fans can expect star ratings go off the chart when Angle hits British turf.

“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles
The winner of Fighting Spirit Magazine’s ‘Zero G Award’, AJ Styles’ gravity-defying aerial ability is the stuff of legend. A former World Champion, Styles is best known for his cutting-edge matches in the revolutionary X Division, where he earned a reputation as the most innovative athlete in the industry.

When he brings his high-wire cruiserweight act to the UK, wrestling fans will see first-hand that AJ has the greatest hang time seen in sports since Michael Jordan.

Booker T
When he made his surprise debut at TNA Genesis last November, Booker T sent shockwaves throughout the industry, becoming the latest wrestling megastar to join Total Nonstop Action. A six-time World Champion, Booker has held titles in every wrestling organisation he has ever competed and is eager to add Kurt Angle’s TNA Title to his trophy cabinet.

With extraordinary agility for a ‘big man’, he is as comfortable soaring through the air as he is slugging it out, making him more than a match for anyone. Booker will prove to British fans that he doesn’t need a plastic crown to be a king of the ring.

Samoa Joe
A legend in the making, Samoa Joe has taken the industry by storm, capturing ‘Most Valuable Player’ honours in TNA’s Year-End Awards. With his super-stiff strikes, submission-based offence and devastating Muscle Buster, fans all over the world now goad his opponents with taunting chants of, “Joe is gonna kill you!”

Having had some of wrestling’s greatest matches with everyone from Kurt Angle to CM Punk to Kenta Kobashi, British fans will surely be in for another classic when “The Samoan Submission Machine” hits the UK in June.

The LAX – The Latin American Xchange
With the high-flying finesse of Homicide and the overwhelming power of Hernandez, The Latin American Xchange have wreaked havoc on TNA’s tag team division and left a trail of destruction in their wake.

From death defying Ultimate X matches high above the ring to bloody brawls that go all over the arena, LAX aren’t afraid to mix it up in any environment. Which means that fans in June better be ready for anything, whether they’re sitting ringside or way up in the bleachers!

Motor City Machineguns
If you think that great tag team wrestling is a thing of the past, you haven’t seen The Motor City Machine Guns tear it up in TNA’s six-sided battleground. Voted ‘Tag Team Of The Year’ in both the TNA Year-End Awards and the Fighting Spirit Magazine Awards, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley have emerged as the best pure tag team since The Midnight Express.

Combining everything from slick chain wrestling to dazzling cruiserweight offence, the Guns’ arsenal is so versatile that they even use one another as weapons!
