Vanguard Championship Wrestling, along with Seven City Productions and Highspots.com, just hosted "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair at their November 15th event in Norfolk, VA. The event featured a pre-show autograph session and a full card of wrestling action. The crowd size was approximately 505 people. Flair, after entering through the crowd, addressed the fans in attendance and thanked them for all of their support. Ric Flair and his fans have many memories of Norfolk, VA. Flair was presented with a document declaring November 15th, 2008 to be "Ric Flair Day" in the city of Norfolk, complete with signature by Norfolk Mayor Paul D. Fraim. Also in attendance, both for the meet and greet and for in-ring action, were Ricky Morton of the Rock 'n Roll Express, The Barbarian, Bobby Eaton of the Midnight Express, "Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez, and "The Perfect 10" Baby Doll. The main event was a VCW Heavyweight Championship match pitting Preston Quinn vs. VCW Heavyweight Champion Q-Sic. Q-Sic retained the title via countout, but Q-Sic could not avoid PQ's furious punches and kicks. The re-match, which will be a Street Fight, has been announced for Saturday, January 10th at the next VCW television taping.
