Newsflash

The PPV numbers are in for WrestleMania 24, and they are considerably lower than wwe and Floyd Mayweather expected. WrestleMania 24 drew 1,058,000 buys which works out to $23.8 million. This is less than last year’s 1,200,000 buys and $24.4 million for WrestleMania 23. The numbers were released this morning with WWE’s first quarter earnings report, which had the company listed as pulling in $19.5 million in net earnings over the first quarter of 2008.

Upcoming airtimes:

Sunday night, May 4: 11:00 PM & 3:00 AM
Sunday night, May 11: 11:00 PM & 3:00 AM
Friday night, May 16: 3:30 AM

Currently scheduled for this premiere broadcast:

Johnny Gargano Speaks Out On Attack on Gregory Iron
On the last broadcast of PWO TV, Johnny Gargano was responsible for the most reprehensible and offensive act in PWO history, as he perpetrated a savage assault on Gregory Iron, after months of being unable to best the inspirational superstar physically or psychologically. After the attack, Iron was hospitalized for three days before being sent home where he has been quiety recovering. Greg suffered another severe concussion, and at this point his career is very much in doubt. Greg has said that through turbulent life, the one thing he's always had to count on to escape and cope has been professional wrestling. Now, it seems that Gargano may have sadly taken away the only thing Gregory Iron has ever had to count on in his life. This weekend, Gargano speaks out on the incident for the first time ever. Will the often-obnoxious prodigy offer a humble apology and express regret? Or does Gargano still stand by his sickening actions? And what role does Josh Prohibition play in all of this?

Vincent Nothing vs. "Megastar" Marion Fontaine
Vincent Nothing has channeled his aggression and newfound mean streak into an impressive string of in-ring showings in recent weeks. Marion Fontaine has continued to climb the ranks of PWO, along with his unusual advisor known as Macho Grosh. Fontaine's recent run-ins with "DeeeLicious" Jimmy DeMarco have produced quite a bit of uneasyness between the two, but Fontaine hopes to put that behind him and continue his ascension. Who will continue on the path to the top?

"Bloody" Morty Rackem & Matthew Justice: Cut Throat Training
On our last broadcast, Morty Rackem finally found a tag team partner worthy of accompanying him into battle, someone with the potential to be even greater than Rackem's former partner. That man is Matthew Justice, one-half of The Socks of Justice, who seems to be fed up with the oddball antics of Chuck "White Socks" Johnson and is dead-set on being taken seriously and hitting that next level. That started when Rackem & Justice made the challenge to Virus & Virus Grande for a Ladder Match, where the winners would gain full possession of Rackem's swords, which V-Squared stole several months ago. This week, Rackem prepared Justice for battle, and our cameras were on hand to document it. Rackem puts Matthew Justice through Cut Throat Training!

Jason Bane Comments on Temporary Order of Protection
On our last broadcast, the 6'8 300 lb. Jason Bane attempted to confront the 6'5 275 lb. Cronus and find out once and for all who is the most dominant athlete in PWO. However, Cronus' agent dropped a bombshell: A Temporary Order of Protection! Maguire served Bane with papers that stated if Bane touches either Cronus or Maguire before an official match can be signed, he will be BANNED from wrestling in the state of Ohio for life! Bane will react and respond to this legal document this week, what will the angry giant have to say?

Mike Tolar vs. Justin Idol
Mike Tolar is a natural athlete, born and bred. A high school, collegiate, and professional athletic standout, Tolar has the credentials to go all the way in PWO. Meanwhile, Justin Idol is a young veteran with a track record a mile long, who made a huge mark in PWO with his victory over Michigan elitist N8 Mattson a few weeks ago. These two stars will collide this week, in an extremely important match for bragging rights and rankings.

Plus so much more!

Remember, Pro Wrestling Ohio is only available on Sports Time Ohio! If Sports Time Ohio is NOT part of your DirecTV or Dish Network package, no matter where in the U.S. you are, call your satellite provider today and demand STO! Check local listings or www.sportstimeohio.com for times!

PWO DVDs ON SALE NOW!
Re-live the historic beginning to the PWO era with Pro Wrestling Ohio's first official DVD release! Experience the first ever match in PWO history as Morty Rackem's Cut Throat Crew engage in a high-octane aerial war with Virus & Virus Grande! Witness the first ever meeting between Johnny Gargano and Gregory Iron, and the shocking conclusion that spawned some of PWO's most shocking moments! See M-Dogg 20 Matt Cross battle John McChesney, as the jealousy of Gargano & Josh Prohibition lead to a building-wide manhunt! Order your copy NOW at www.pwowrestling.com!

NWS Has Two Huge Shows This Weekend 5/2 & 5/3 In Edison & Brick, NJ Headlined By Superstars From "Legends Of The Ring VI" Convention
There's big doings in the world of pro wrestling this weekend.

First of all, "Legends Of The Ring VI", the tri-state area's biggest annual pro wrestling convention, returns to the Radisson Hotel in Carteret, NJ this Saturday May 3rd 9:00am-4:00pm, with a huge array of past and present legends. For more details, go to: http://ironriverfilms.com/lotr.html
But if you can't get to the convention, don't fret... you'll also have a chance to see a handful of those same legends at the the tri-state area's biggest family-friendly pro wrestling promotion, National Wrestling Superstars, who will be presenting a huge two-show weekend Friday May 2nd and Saturday May 3rd.

Friday night May 2nd, NWS returns to Edison, NJ's Herbert Hoover Middle School, 174 Jackson Avenue (just off Amboy Avenue, minutes from Routes 1 and I-287), with a 7:45pm bell time. NWS has locked in a great night of action, literally, as recent WWE RAW superstar "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters will be in action, and will no doubt offer up his latest "Masterlock Challenge" to some hapless foe that night. Sharing the spotlight with Masters will be four former ECW originals in the likes of The Blue Meanie, Danny Morrison (a.k.a "Dastardly" Danny Doring), Julio Dinero, and the brain-eating Zombie.

The local mat standouts of NWS will also be showcased in Edison. Popular area favorite The Jersey Cowboy will challenge Delaware loudmouth J.D. Smoothie for his NWS Cruiserweight Title, and the young heartthrob who is popular with the ladies no matter where he goes, Rhett Titus, will continue his pursuit of NWS Jersey Shore Champion Nicky Oceans as the two will do battle once again. The action will also include a special girls match, as native American Princess Little Feather will battle up-and-coming female mat star Rebecca Payne, and Mister Gregory and Rob Eckos will be in action, along with Chris Steeler and Prince Iam Smarta.

Tickets for this mega event are still available, but are going fast at the bargain price of only $17, and all seats are ringside.

Saturday night May 3rd, NWS returns to its undisputed Jersey Shore home base, the Brick, NJ Elks Lodge (2491 Hooper Avenue, minutes from Route 70 and the Brick Plaza), with a 7:35pm bell time. Headlining this mega event will be no less than three WWE TV legends. "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters will make an encore appearance in Brick. And if that is not enough, the WWE's "greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time", The Honky-Tonk Man, will make a rare East Coast appearance in Brick, doing his guitar-swinging and Elvis-singing in the middle of the ring to the delight of the fans. And if that is *STILL* not enough... making his first area wrestling appearance in a long time will be a true ring veteran, the Olympic power-lifter turned wrestler, the man who originally held the title of "the world's strongest man" in the WWE, the one and only Ken Patera.

In addition, a pair of former ECW originals will be in Brick, in the form of the brain-eating Zombie and the brain-bashing Equalizer, as they will face each other in a six-man tag-team war that will also include Jersey Shore standouts Slayer, Resin, The Great Garofolo, and a surprise mystery participant.
And speaking of area favorites, popular Point Pleasant referee Mike "Quick Count" Dillon will don the wrestling tights to settle a score with another fellow referee, Toms River's S.P. Anderson, which began in March and will reach its peak Saturday night in Brick. The winning referee will then don the stripes to referee another grudge match, as 2008 J-Cup winner Rhett Titus gets his chance to wrest the NWS Jersey Shore Title away from long-time champion Nicky Oceans. The fans will also be treated to a special girls' bout featuring native American Princess Alere Little Feather, and a three-way dance featuring high flyers J.D. Smoothie, Mighty Mikey Pacifica, and Golden Lynx.

The Elks Lodge has always sold out weeks in advance of every NWS show, and this show is no exception... tickets are going fast, so make sure you get your tickets now, priced at only $19 for adults and $17 for kids and seniors.

Tickets can be purchased by calling NWS at (732) 888-1704. All major credit cards are accepted, and group rates are available for groups of ten or more. Remaining seats, if any, will go on sale at the door one hour before bell time.

Follow NWS on the Web at www.nwswrestling.com.

SJK Puts Up 1PW Title Against US Title On May 9

In a shocking event, Sterling James Keenan has told 3KWrestling that he wants to put up his 1PW Heavyweight championship against ZERO-ONE United States champion Jake Manning!

1PW is one of the premier wrestling companies in the United Kingdom and SJK has been their recognized world champion since October of 2007.

"To unify the 1PW and US title would be great so I can go back to England and show those limey's that the United States and US Wrestlers are a million times better then the British." said Sterling James Keenan. Keenan, who is very popular in 3KWrestling is the total opposite in the UK. He is the biggest bad guy on the universe according to the 1PW faithful.

Jake Manning, the reigning United States champion, looks at this challenge as a no lose situation for him. "I just got down conquering Europe and now I will take one of their titles too!" said the ever-confident champion. "Plus those 1PW are among the worst in the world, so I can't wait to shove both titles in their faces. I have already told my agent, Ty Dillinger, to make sure my ticket is upgraded to first class for their next show."

One person that doesn't seem happy about the title unification match is former 1PW and ZERO-ONE US champion Steve Corino. "I could care less. My problems with 1PW and their owner are well documented and over. Now my problem is with their internet fans. A bunch of arm chair bookers but you know what? I don't care anymore. All I am looking forward to facing Greg Spitz on May 9 in Limerick, PA."

3KWrestling hopes to get a statement from 1PW Chairman, Steven Gauntley this week during the debut week of 3KWrestling.com.

Kid America Hurt In A Heinous Attack

Although we don't have 100% confirmation yet on what exactly happened, we can confirm that co-holder of the Premier tag team titles Kid America suffered a broken hand on Friday morning while visiting the Cub Scout troop that we reported on last week.

According to Chester-Crozer Medical Center in Chester, PA, Kid America suffered fractures of the Externsor Pollicis Longus and has been told by 3KWrestling chief doctor Alan Goldberg, MD to take six to eight weeks off. Kid America said "HELL NO. I will make it to May 9 no matter what. I could have a broken leg and I would hop to the ring. Marcus Dowling thinks that The Best Around are going to take these titles away from me and Ricky and he is wrong. I am not letting the fans down."

Ricky Landell did not seem happy though, "What the heck happened that he would break his hand? I am sure it was something stupid. But I guess I will just have to work that much harder. I'm sorry, I am just frustrated because I want to make sure we are 100% on May 9."

From what we hear though, something big happened that caused Kid America's injury. And Greg Spitz is claiming responsibility. He told 3KWrestling's Mike Edition that him and The Monster C jumped Kid America before he went to talk to the cub scouts and that Ed Uncensored filmed it! We hope that Spitz is lying again (Like he is known to do) but Spitz and Uncensored said they will release the tape to 3KWrestling.com as soon as the website debuts.
