TO HOLD- On April 29, The National Wrestling Alliance will hold one of their larger events in recent history on June 7 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta. It is being promoted that Sid Vicious will be the headliner. Tickets for the event will range from $17 to $52 a piece. Source: pwinsider.com

TWO DEATHS TO REPORT- Wild Bill Savage, a wrestler from Oregon in the 50's and 60's, passed away on 4/12. Comando Loco, a Guadalajara local wrestler, died on 4/12 after a motorcycle accident. Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
NWE! The Nu-Wrestling Evolution has come to an agreement with La Sexta, a Spanish TV station which aired the 2006 World Cup in Spain, to air shows taped on their upcoming tour. The television tapings will be held in Madrida, Bilbao, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Barcelona and Zaragoza. The shows will air this summer in a weekly one-hour format that the company says will be aimed at a family audience and will be "suitable for younger viewers". The shows will include appearances by Kishi (Rikishi), Chris (Masters) Mordetzky, Ultimo Dragon, Juventud Guerrera, Orlando Jordan and the much talked about return of the Ultimate Warrior, which will take place on June 25th. MEXICO NOTES- Dr. Wagner Jr. went public in saying that he is not happy in CMLL. Wagner claims he is not being pushed because the company wants only puppets. AAA's television production is expected to get a boost with the hiring of Hector Melendez. Sean Waltman (X-Pac) will be out of rehab in a few more weeks. SHUT DOWN- A wrestling show at the ECPW wrestling school on Saturday was shut down by Lake Hiawatha Mayor Michael Luther, because live events were not among the allowable uses of the wrestling school due to zoning regulations. They've run shows regularly there but what happened was a card was advertised as "one of the most brutal wrestling matches ever conceived" (a ladder match) and a story ran in the paper and the city shut the event down.
