Disc One Disc Two Extras - Disc Three - Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony Hats off to the WWE for pulling this one out of the bag. I know they always make a special effort for their WrestleMania DVD release and three discs worth of footage is great to see. Including Extras like the 'All Grown Up' Vignettes, and the match we didn't get to see at 'Mania (Flair & Carlito vs. Helms and Chavo); this is definatly one to have in your collection whether you bought the original pay per view or not. The photo gallery extra is fantastic and the Hall Of Fame Ceremony is a very good added bonus on disc 3. The sheer volume of content on these discs is astounding! The Money In The Bank ladder match that kicked off this event is worth buying on its own. All 8 guys in that match did a fantastic job, with some dare devil high spots from Jeff Hardy (Landing on top of Edge on that ladder is probably going to be one of those moments included in every desire video and every recap montage going from now on!) and was a great way to kick start the biggest pay per view of the year. Some comedy spots in there too with Finley's little side kick Hornswoggle getting involved on occasion! Kane going against Khali is about the same as ANYONE going against Khali. Granted I suppose this looks more sell-able with Kane's size but anyone having to get into the ring with Khali and make a match look entertaining deserves a medal. Benoit vs. MVP was a great match. MVP is a very promising up and coming superstar, his recent matches with Matt Hardy on Smackdown are proving this more and more and Benoit was of course on top form but I don't think anyone will ever be able to appreciate a Benoit match again no matter how good it was at the time. Undertaker vs. Batista was a surprise. Batista had a great match and whether that was down to the Undertaker or down to Batista himself I can't decide, but it is definatly the best I have seen Batista perform in his entire career. I guess he managed to pull it off when it really mattered! New Breed vs. The Originals was one I was looking forward to. It was an ok sort of a match, they did better on the following ECW broadcast (About 2 days after Mania) when they had the match under hardcore rules. Isn't that what ECW is meant to be about? Hardcore was the name of the game, I don't think the writers remember that these days! Lashley Umaga... meh. Didn't really care for this one or care who got his head shaved. Austin did the usual 'comes back drinks beer stuns people' routine, nothing exciting and worth hitting the fast forward button! Shame that the Carlito/Flair tag team match was bumped off the card when we had to endure this one and the Diva's Lumberjill match!! The Michaels/Cena saga had had me on the edge of my seat for a few weeks prior to WrestleMania 23 and, as much as I enjoyed the match, I couldn't help but think Shawn slightly ruined it by having a little diva strop if his own. Don't get me wrong, Shawn is and always will be my favourite WWE Superstar but the wrestlemania match, for me, was slightly over shadowed by his behaviour especially at the end of the match. Over all a fantastic DVD just for the extras and the Hall Of Fame Ceremony alone I would pay for it! Well done and it's about damn time!! paps This DVD is available from all good WWE Stockists.
