-Vince McMahon is apparently urging his superstars to become better actors and improve on their backstage segments as well as wanting a more realistic style in the ring. WWE developmental have hired Norman Smiley because of his Japanese background in hope that it will improve the in ring style of WWE wrestlers. They have gone back and forth over the concenpt of the Konck Out finish like the one seen with Big Show and Undertaker last Sunday at No Mercy. If it doesn't go over with the audience it will be used less in the furture. apparently HD TV is making missed spots more noticable and the WWE want to try and avoid that.
-Hulk Hogan, daughter Brooke and his latest girlfriend and Brooke Look-a-like, Jennifer McDaniel, were at the EliteXC event last Saturday night. Hulk got a thunderous pop from the crowd when he came out, apparently one of the loudest for any celeb at an MMA event. Other noteable stars in attendance were Matt Morgan, Andrew martin (Test) and Terri Runnels, who works for the press section of the Fight Network.
-It appears it has come to light that Matt Striker used to do a gimmick almost exactly the same as the one Charlie Haas is in at the moment when Striker worked the Northeastern Indy scene, and even teases with a few Austin and HBK impersonations on this week's ECW. Apaprently there are some concernns within the WWE that more effort is being put into the characters of Haas and Santino Marella than any others. While both are good workers it is seemingly un nerving some since they are getting more attention than any other stars on the roster when these two aren't expected to create any income or ever get any further up in the pecking order than they already are. It was the same situation with Hornswoggle last year when he had a massive amount of attention pushed upon him as Mr McMahon's son.
-WWE are releasing a trivia book exclusive to wwe.shop.com entitled 10 Count Trivia: Events and Championships. The nook should be available to buy at the end of this month.
-WWE Diva Kelly Kelly has responded to rumours that she will be the next Diva to feature in Playboy, with a post on her myspace blog she says: ".. so anyways here is the answer to the question people have been asking me..i finally have a chance to set the record straight...im not posing for playboy..nothing against playboy at all but i dont know who is posing for playboy but it wont be me. i just want to concentrate on wrestling right now."
-The lawsuit against Hustler magazine brought in by the parents of Nancy Benoit has been thrown out today. The judge ruled that nude pictures of Nancy published by the magazine almost ten years after they were taken, were owned by Hustler and therfore able to be used by them. Nancy's parents saw it as cashing in on her death when Huster did not release the pictures until after the Benoit tradgedy last year.
