HOW THEY DID IT- The Raw match on Monday night with HHH vs. Randy Orton was an attempt to build for a cage match at the PPV as was announced after the show. It's been years since we've seen them go off the air without a finish of the main event. That was actually standard fare in the territorial days with the idea you get teased with seeing the action and it makes you want to buy the rematch. I would presume they are building an HHH vs. William Regal angle for Raw in the old McMahon/Austin genre, but who knows with the way directions change. Source: wrestlingobserver.com
LEFT BROADCAST! On the ECW broadcast, Mike Adamle left the broadcast position right before the main event. Tazz followed him, and there was no commentary during the event. WWE.com has a story on the situation, which you can read at http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/articles/6940934/walkoff . According to the article, Adamle and Tazz exited the arena and went to the parking lot. The WWE site plans on having a further update on the situation soon. The article also acknowledges the fans that haven't been too happy with him so far in his role as the play-by-play man for ECW. The article also deems his commentary as "lackluster." They wrote: "It has been no secret that our traditional ECW fans have not been satisfied with Adamle's lackluster commentary. Speculation is this could have led to the play by play and color commentator walking off during a WWE broadcast. Did Adamle and Tazz leave of their own volition or were they asked to leave?" source: PWInsider.com

UPDATE- With Michael Hayes serving his 60-day suspension for his racial remark, Christopher DeJosephs (Big Dick Johnson) and Ed Koskey are the interim head writers for both ECW and Smackdown. DeJosephs has been the head writer on ECW since Dave Lagana was fired, and Dusty Rhodes left for developmental. The Hayes suspension surprised many within WWE, as several viewed Hayes as "untouchable." source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

PRODUCER- Shane McMahon's wife Marissa is the producer of the movie Anamorphs, hence the plugs on WWE television last week. Mick Foley only had a small part in the film, which was filmed in one day. His character is apparently similar to the Dude Love persona, but he doesn't think so. "I'm not sure I channeled any of my WWE personas; I just tried to think of what a slightly sleazy pawn shop owner might look and act like." he told WWE.com. "If I hadn't been a WWE Superstar, I would've been a sleazy pawn shop owner." The movie's premiere was held on 4/16 in Manhattan. All of the McMahons were there. In an incredibly limited release (it was shown in one theatre in New York), it did $3,000 its opening weekend. However, they plan on marketing it as a PPV release. source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

TOLD- Regarding recent WWE developmental firings, FCW head Dusty Rhodes was told to make calls on who wasn't ready for national WWE television. After hearing from Rhodes, WWE dropped Chris Gray, Tommy Taylor and Ryan Bishop from their developmental contracts. Taylor & Gray were signed last spring when there was talk of doing a WWE developmental in the U.K., but those talks have since died down. Also, Taylor & Gray are both cruiserweights, and with no cruiserweight division, there isn't much interest in smaller wrestlers at the moment, unless one really stands out. Bishop is a former football player that was invited to a New York Giants training camp last spring. People were high on him at first due to his size and athletic ability, but he had absolutely no prior wrestling experience and things didn't work out. source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
